Supporting residents with community grants.

This programme has now closed and we’ve been delighted to offer support to a large number of local groups.

In line with our goals of a stronger, healthier and greener Wargrave, we offered small grants ranging from £500 to £1000 to small businesses and organisations with projects and ideas that will directly benefit Wargrave residents.

Start-Up business grants

We offered Start-Up Grants for small businesses – offering up to £500 to deliver a programme or activity in the Wargrave area.

Supporting organisations to grow

We offered grants to support local organisations to grow – creating a register of local organisations in the area, talking to them about what they need, and how we can help.

Enriching community organisations

Encouraging organisations to apply for a small grant that particularly focus on the following:
– Keeping places safe
– Improving green spaces in Wargrave
– Developing community spirit
– Minimising waste

Housing and neighbourhood action

Supporting the development of tenants groups, offering them a free space to meet, and talking to them about what they need and how they can take action
