Our aim of Wargrave Big Local has been to enhance the opportunities and experience for Wargrave residents. As a former industrial and proud working-class community, Wargrave has suffered a loss of identity over recent years, along with a lack of any real opportunities or direction. Throughout the programme so far we have strived to offset this and improve lives.

We have changed thinking, so that Wargrave residents develop aspirations – to find employment, to be mentally strong, and to care for others, being a good neighbour and friend. Engaging residents in the decisions that are made about them was key to our success.
we have found that it is vital that decisions involve the people that it will directly influence.
The programme has now ended and we aren’t taking applications.
