The Wargrave Family.
The Partnership is made up of local residents with support from Torus Foundation as our Local Trusted Organisation that looks after our funding and any obligations we have.
Meet our Team.
Wargrave Big Local Partnership members have a good range of knowledge and skills and respect for each other.

Louise Forshaw
Chair of the Partnership and
Chair of the Healthier subgroup
How long have you been involved with Big Local?
I have been involved on and off with Big Local for the past seven years and I have been the Chair for the last four years.
Why did you get involved?
I got involved because I wanted to see lasting improvements to my hometown, the place where I live and my family live. The million pounds award is an opportunity to change residents lives for the better and to help make Wargrave a safe and welcoming area for all.
How does your involvement make you feel?
I feel really proud to be the Chairperson of the Partnership and to have been part of decisions that have brought help and support to Wargrave residents right in the heart of our community. Through our employment programmes and our efforts to improve health and well-being all on the doorstep in Wargrave. On a personal level I have learnt a lot, gained new skills and increased my own self confidence.

Jeanne Dentith
Vice-Chair of the Partnership and
Chair of the Stronger subgroup
How long have you been involved with Big Local?
I joined the Partnership when I took early retirement from my job in 2015.
Why did you get involved?
I felt that I wanted to put something back into a community that I had lived in for many years.
Since becoming the vice-chair I have had the opportunity to take part in the Community Leadership Academy which was interesting and informative. I hope to use my new skills to be a community champion and serve my local area to the best of my ability.
How does your involvement make you feel?
Being part of Big Local makes me feel proud and it’s a privilege to work with such a dedicated group of people.

Amanda
How long have you been involved with Big Local?
I got involved about 18 months ago
Why did you get involved?
I moved into the area just before COVID hit and had always intended to try and give something back to my new home area, get to know the area and people better.
How does your involvement make you feel?
WBL I felt gave me that opportunity and since doing so I’m now learning more each month about my home area, it’s needs and the people within. That makes me feel increasingly part of the community and that I made a good choice for my home.

Sarah Percival

Why did you get involved?
I wanted to have more opportunities to volunteer in the community.
How does your involvement make you feel?
Being on the partnership has made me feel more confident, allowed me to meet people and given me the chance to have my say and help make a difference in Wargrave.
