Healthier

Supporting our residents health and wellbeing.

Making Wargrave

healthier

Our vision for a healthier Wargrave aims to support residents with access to local healthcare provision, offers a safe and supportive environment, and creates a space for local support, health and well-being groups to develop and flourish.

The vision

Our outcomes

Through our Healthier projects, we will host support groups and well-being activities with a focus on mental health, suicide prevention and reducing loneliness.

Within our Hub we will offer access to exercise, activities for young people, and support for young families.

  • Hard to reach groups in our community will have a voice

  • We’ll have a relationship with care providers who work with our most vulnerable residents

  • We’ll have developed a good neighbour scheme
  • A safe space for young people created

  • More mental health support and bereavement support for Wargrave residents

  • Companionship groups created

  • A Good Deed Scheme created – what you can offer versus what you need

  • More residents are caring – for themselves, for neighbours and for the environment
